  • Victoria was christened Alexandrina Victoria on June 24, 1819, at Kensington Palace by the Archbishop of Canterbury, Charles Manners-Sutton. Her parents had originally considered giving her several additional names, but these were rejected by the Prince Regent. Within her family circle, she was affectionately called “Drina,” a nickname she used throughout much of her childhood.
