Photography has been around for almost two entire centuries now, the first photographs are believed to have been taken as early as 1826!! Colour photography has a much shorter history, the first ever successful colour photos were taken in 1907 but it didn’t really get to be popular until the 1960s and 70s.
The means that many of the first century of photography was instantly relegated to black and white photos…
Yet thanks to the great advances that has been made to photo editing technology, pretty much anybody is able to try their hand at the art of colourising black and white photos. The process might not be the easiest, but for those who have the patience and skill, it is definitely possible to make the past come to life in full colour like never before!
