Astrodome
The city of Houston needed a hero and they certainly got one… in the shape of a domed stadium. The astrodome opened in 1965 to much fanfare. In 2014, the astrodome was named to the National Register of Historic Places. Today, this dome remains largely unused and exists in a partially decrepit state.
