Charles Lindbergh
Charles Lindbergh made history when he became the first person to fly across the Atlantic completely solo in 1923. He made the massive 3,500 mile journey in 33 and a half hours, and his success gave massive hope to others who also wanted to cross the Atlantic, including Amelia Earhart, who made the journey in 1928.
