He has become a ubiquitous figure representing unfettered hatred, and his actions plunged the world into warfare. Adolph Hitler reigned as Fuhrer of Germany from 1934 to 1945. Before he committed suicide, Hitler constructed the vehicle for the most systematic killing of people in the history of the world. His charisma enthralled the people of his country as he spoke on issues of anti-Semitism and anti-communism. The actualization of these views began during WWII. At least 5.5 million Jews were rounded up and murdered during the Holocaust. Many of the Jews were forced to work in labor camps before being put to death. Many millions more died during his invasion of Russia. Hitler’s disdain for the Russian people caused him to pursue a brutal campaign on Russian soil that resulted in the death and suffering of many millions. Hatred fueled his aggressive expansion across Europe and Asia, and it took the combined effort of many nations to thwart his plans for world domination.
