Auschwitz Liberation
The colourised photo was taken just before the liberation of the infamous Nazi concentration camp, Auschwitz. This liberation marked a massive win for the Allied forces, some very well-known inmates who were kept here included Anne Frank, her family and Elie Wiesel. The photo is a stark and chilling reminder of human cruelty.
